Your quote from Winston Churchill reminds me of his "never give in" speech. If focus with the end in mind then we will have a true vision of the finish line. All top athletes use visualisation. So should we. As network marketers we need to visualise the outcome of our efforts, focus on the winning line and carry as many people over with us as we possibly can.
Thanks, Maggie. The cord that hit me the hardest is the one I have to remind my downline's of in everything I do online and offline it's not about you it's about them, you have to listen and find out there dreams and what they want out of life. Then and only then will you be successful at internet marketing. The other part of this I really would like to send my niece is the part about the golf quote you only got to complete against you. She is in a teen center and has to complete a program to return home. But if she blows up or gets mad at people getting in her face she loses everything time and time again. When will she learn to succeed find out why there afraid of your success and make them successful too that usually gets negative people out of your way.
The Garden blog

Re: Does it Take Blood, Sweat, and Tears to Build a Network marketing business?

Hey Maggie,

You hit so many key elements about success in network marketing!

One that is a crucial element is being "ALL-IN". The only person you compete with is yourself" That says it all and that is why most fail. If you have low self esteem and poor personal development you will find it difficult to compete against yourself. After all who wants to lose to a loser. Great post.

Re: Does it Take Blood, Sweat, and Tears to Build a Network marketing business?

I love you sharing this Maggie. So many people go into this business as a hobby thinking they do not have to work at it. People who are always asking "what do I do now" or self-starters? Not saying they shouldn't be coachable - but there's a fine line between coaching and enabling (lord knows I skate it most days - lol).

Better to lead more by example and have people coming to you saying "Show me how to do what you did please".

Nice article share! Two points particularly struck a chord with me:

1) "You can’t really get anyone into our business." That's exactly right! If you have to "get" them into the business, they're not going to last anyway. None of us is interested in dragging people through the fire and convincing them they need to do what we're doing and hold their hand all along the way. I'll hold someone's hand in this business if they reach out for mine, but I'm not going to pull them along.

2) Our dreams have to grow to include other people's dreams. Amen! While I'm not into pulling people behind me or pushing them into this business, I AM there to support them and making their dreams mine, as well. Our dream should always be to help others manifest their dreams.

Thanks for sharing some great words of wisdom, Diva Maggie!

Re: Does it Take Blood, Sweat, and Tears to Build a Network marketing business?

Maggie...I am so excited that we are on the same TSA team....little do they know how close we are=)))
Yes...network marketing is the hardest job ever because it is abstract. We are very much a home-based family: multiples businesses, school, healthcare, birth and more. I think more and more people will find that having a business out of their homes using network marketing or not is going to be the most likely place to succeed in abundance in the future.

Re: Are you a Mentor or a Manager?

Maggie, this is a powerful post and thank you for sharing.
